Sling TV, the $20 a month over-the-top service than launched earlier this year, blamed the problems on server issues, something it’s faced before with high-traffic events, notably the season debut of Game of Thrones, during the NCAA Final Four and the season finale of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. There was no indication from Sling just how big Sunday’s problems were, but the company did issue a blanket apology on Twitter to affected users.
