Why Viacom’s Dish Deal Has Investors Cheering 

The media company said Thursday that it had inked a multiyear deal with Dish Network, giving the satellite-TV provider access to Nickelodeon, MTV and Comedy Central, among other networks. Notably, the deal also allows for select Viacom programming to appear on both the single-stream and multi-stream versions of Dish’s Internet-based Sling TV offering.
