Most on-demand services are failing to attract subscribers 

Netflix shares took a hit after adding just 160,000 new domestic subs in the second quarter. Dish’s new online video service, Sling, added a measly 47,000 to its estimated 800,000 total. Dish’s satellite business recorded its biggest quarterly subscriber loss at 281,000, while rival AT&T/DirecTV lost 49,000 TV subs in the period.
