Canadian rights management organization SOCAN announced Tuesday (June 29) that Jennifer Brown has been appointed CEO, effective immediately. Brown was directly selected for the position by SOCAN’s board of directors in a move that makes her the first woman to lead “Canada’s largest music and visual arts rights organization,” according to the press release.
