Most people spend the majority of their viewing time with free ad-supported linear television. So why is there so little of this approach available online? Like many of you, I spend a lot of time watching video on SVOD services. Much of the time I arrive at the initial screen with something in mind to watch, and the sites are usually pretty good at getting me to the show fast. Sometimes, I find something pretty quickly from my personal content queue or recommendations lists when I’m not quite sure what I want. However, sometimes there is just no substitute for a cleverly programmed linear channel.
