Machinima has signed a deal with Verizon Communications Inc. to distribute 110 hours of original programming per year starting in 2016, along with 40 hours of curated content, via the wireless company’s soon-to-launch mobile video service. The new deal is the latest in a string of distribution pacts forged by Machinima, as the company tries to evolve from its roots as a YouTube ad network to a content producer specializing in young male-skewing, gaming and pop culture-focused content.
