Citing a number of high-profile content deals with companies such as AT&T U-verse, HBO NOW and Tennis Channel Everywhere, Amazon’s statement comes shortly after Apple revealed last week that it will be releasing an upgraded version of Apple TV in October, which will feature an improved OS, all-new App Store and a redesigned remote control with voice search functionality. FOX NOW, FXNOW and Turner Classic Movies will be added to the Fire TV platform soon.
