Digital content creation company Adobe has taken advantage of Mobile World Congress to enhance its Primetime platform with MPEG-DASH support and dynamic ad insertion. The company claims that the net result will be higher quality content with less data impact, and lower CDN costs for media companies as they will be able to use the same workflows and business rules that they’ve used to insert ads into HLS stream across the range of devices and browsers that support MPEG-DASH. This includes all HTML5-compliant browsers.
